Tungsten tube is processing by CVD (Chemical Vapor Deposition), the tensile strength of which is about 300-500Pa, and is comparable to the preparation annealed tungsten rods’ by arc melting, powder metallurgy method, swaging after electron beam melting and other methods.
The tungsten tube, after vacuum annealing treatment (a diameter of 6mm and a wall thickness of 1.5mm), whose tensile performance test results show that the tensile strength is about 380Pa.
Testing the tensile performance of tungsten tube which has different processes with different diameters, wall thicknesses after vacuum annealing, its tensile fracture morphology will representing brittle intergranular fracture. In preparation of tungsten tube, whose deposition defects have a significant impact on its tensile performance. For example, when the impurity particles present on the surface of deposit matrix, the tungsten tube will has surface defects, in the stretching process, breakage occurs along this portion, so the tensile strength of tungsten tube will greatly decrease.
