Tungsten Carbide Spiral Tap Introduction

Tungsten carbide spiral grooves are the chip spiral shape, depending on the rotation of the tungsten carbide screw-tap that can be divided into left and right helical coil. When left-handed spiral flute tap-tapping down the rows of cuttings, suitable for through-hole tapping processing; discharged tap tapping right-handed spiral upward chip, suitable for blind hole tapping.

Tungsten carbide spiral tap processing characteristics are the followings: firstly, it can be tapped to the blind holes’ lowermost; secondly, it will have no tapping remains; thirdly, it has good machinability.

Tungsten carbide spiral flute tap is the most commonly used, according to the different conditions using different helix angle, it is common right-handed 15° and 42 °. Generally the larger the helix angle, the better the performance chip.Suitable for blind hole machining. When through-hole machining is not the best choice.
