Tungsten Disulfide-Activated Carbon Composites

In the field of energy, supercapacitor is a new type of energy storage device with rapid development in recent years. Its performance is between traditional capacitor and secondary battery. It has the characteristics of high power, fast charging and discharging rate, long cycle life, wide operating temperature range, good safety performance and economic and environmental protection. They are widely used.
Electrode materials and electrolyte systems determine the capacitance performance of supercapacitors, especially the dominant role of electrode materials. Transition metal disulfides as electrode materials of supercapacitors must have the following characteristics: 1) metal ions in disulfides must coexist with two or more oxidation states, but not cause phase transition; 2) protons can freely enter and exit disulfide lattices through reduction reaction.
Some scholars use tungsten disulfide and carbon composite to make tungsten disulfide-activated carbon composite. The operation process includes:
(1)The WS2 solid powder of tungsten disulfide was ground in a ball mill for 2-4 hours.
(2)WS2 dispersions were obtained by ultrasonic dispersion of WS2 0.1-0.3 g in 20-40 mL secondary distilled water in step (1).
(3)0.01-0.03 g activated carbon AC was added to 20-40 mL secondary distilled water, and the uniform activated carbon dispersion was obtained by ultrasonic dispersion.
(4)The activated carbon dispersions in step (3) were slowly added to step (2) WS2 dispersions, diluted to 60-80 mL with secondary distilled water, and stirred continuously for 1-2 hours.
(5)Transfer the mixed solution obtained from the above step (4) to the hydrothermal reactor for hydrothermal reaction, the reaction temperature is 160-200 ℃, and the reaction time is 24-48 H.
(6)After the hydrothermal reaction, the reaction liquid is cooled naturally to room temperature, centrifuged, washed and dried to obtain tungsten disulfide-activated carbon composite.
(7)Clean and dry the nickel foams.
(8)The two tungsten sulfide activated carbon composite prepared with the carbon black and polytetrafluoroethylene adhesive is mixed evenly with the ratio of 70 to 80:10 to 20:5 to 15, and then is coated with the surface of the spare nickel foam on the surface (7).
The electrode material has large specific capacitance, high electrochemical stability, long cycle life, simple and fast preparation method, low cost, environment friendly, and has good application prospects.
