Tungsten Carbide Supported Cobalt-Nickel Catalyst

With the increasing consumption of petroleum resources, the new synthetic route of preparing high value-added liquid chemicals and other organic chemicals with natural gas as an alternative energy source has attracted great attention from all over the world. The preparation of syngas by partial oxidation of natural gas is an important intermediate link in the realization of natural gas conversion, and the research and development of efficient catalysts is the key.
The results show that tungsten carbide has a stable structure and a large specific surface area. It is also a star material that can replace precious metal catalysts. Recently, a preparation method of tungsten carbide supported cobalt-nickel catalyst for partial oxidation of methane has been proposed by some scholars. Its characteristics include the following steps:
(1)Soluble cobalt salts and soluble nickel salts with concentration of 1-30wt% in water or alcohol solution, ammonium metatungstate with concentration of 1-30wt% in water or alcohol solution, and hexyl orthosilicate with concentration of 1-30wt% in alcohol solution;
(2)The mixed water solution containing 5-10wt% ammonium metatungstate was prepared by mixing the solution in step (1) sufficiently. The mixed water solution was oscillated for 10-60 minutes by ultrasonic wave at room temperature.
(3)stir the mixed solution obtained in step 2 to spray dry into the spray dryer to obtain hollow spherical cobalt salt and nickel salt / tetraethyl orthosilicate /H2WO3 precursor.
(4)Silicon modified CoNi/H2WO3 catalyst precursor was obtained by drying at 80-150 ℃ and calcining at 400-900 ℃ for 1-6 hours.
(5)Using the mixture of methane and hydrogen as the reducing carbon atmosphere, the precursor obtained from step (4) was calcined at 450 ℃ for 2 hours, then reduced at 900 ℃ for 10-12 hours. After the reaction, the product was cooled to room temperature under the protection of inert gas, and the tungsten carbide supported cobalt-nickel catalyst was obtained.
The catalyst promotes the dispersion of active components on the surface of the carrier by introducing additives, strengthens the interaction with the carrier, improves the carbon deposition resistance of the catalyst, solves the problems of sintering and easy loss of the active components of the catalyst, and has the characteristics of high activity, stability and long service life.
