Nano-solid Rhombic Silver Tungstate Preparation by Microwave Irradiation

Silver tungstate material is a kind of important metal tungstate material. It has unique crystal structure and stable physical and chemical properties. Therefore, it can be used as a good luminescent matrix material, photocatalytic material and inorganic anti-bacterial material. It has bright application prospects in scintillator preparation, photocatalysis, medical environmental protection and other fields.

In order to further improve the overall performance of these active materials, silver tungstate materials, especially the design and synthesis of nano-silver tungstate materials with novel morphology and special structure, have gradually become the research frontier and hotspot in this field. Recently, a solid nanometer silver tungstate material has been prepared by microwave irradiation. The preparation process is efficient and convenient, the reaction kinetics is excellent, and there is no need to add additional model agent or surfactant. It is very promising for commercial application. The preparation process of the method includes:

First, at room temperature, weigh 0.1649 g sodium tungstate (NaWO4·2H2O) solid and add 10 ml distilled water, stirring fully for 15 minutes.

Second, weigh 0.1699 g silver nitrate solid and dissolve it in a mixture of 10 ml distilled water and 1 ml ethanol.

Thirdly, after mixing the two solutions evenly, they are slowly poured into the reaction vessel and heated in a microwave radiator for 20-30 minutes.

Fourthly, after the reaction is finished, the suspension is cooled to room temperature, centrifuged and separated, washed with distilled water and ethanol for 4-5 times, and dried at 80 ℃ for 24 hours at constant temperature, solid rhombic silver tungstate nanomaterials can be obtained.

The size of silver tungstate nanomaterials is 250-450 nanometers, the diameter is 100-250 nanometers, and the side length is 100-250 nanometers. Further analysis by high power SEM shows that the solid rhombic silver tungstate nanomaterials are orderly stacked by a large number of nanoparticles. This material has bright application prospects in scintillator preparation, photocatalysis, medical environmental protection and other fields.
