Tungsten Iron Recycle from Tungsten Waste

Tungsten iron is an important raw material in industry. The use of tungsten iron is very widely used in various industrial fields, such as mine, metallurgy, machinery, construction, transportation, electronics, space and military industry. The traditional tungsten iron is made from wolframite concentrate and mixed in electric furnace by mixing the additive in a certain proportion. This smelting process has difficulties in raw material sources, high requirements for raw materials, high cost and need to be broken by crusher in the process of preparation, resulting in unevenness and other technical problems.

In order to overcome the defects of the existing technology, the technical scheme adopted by the researchers is to purify the tungsten containing waste, then take the SHS process and produce a tungsten iron solution, and then direct the high temperature tungsten iron solution to the plate centrifuge directly. Under the centrifugal force of the centrifugal granulation equipment, the high temperature tungsten iron solution is thrown under the argon atmosphere protection. Out of the centrifuge, naturally cooling in the air and relying on the surface tension of the high temperature solution, the spherical particles are formed naturally. By controlling the flow rate of the drainage and the speed of the centrifuge, the particle size of the output can be adjusted effectively, and the various sizes of the spherical tungsten iron powder are produced.

(1)Preparation: First of all, the waste containing tungsten is purified by metal, and the valuable metal in the waste is separated, at the same time, the content of tungsten is increased and controlled at 70%.

(2)Put the purified material into the baking furnace to dry and roast, control the temperature at 500 ℃, roast for 8 hours, and then cool to normal temperature.

(3) According to the amount of tungsten contained in the material and the amount of material required, the material should be prepared according to the following weight ratio (unit: kg):
Treated tungsten waste: 630 ferrosilicon: 162 aluminum powder: 135 sodium nitrate: 45 calcium fluoride: 18

(3)Put the above ingredients in the mixer and mix for 30 minutes to make the material mix well.

(4)The mixed material is put into the prepared reacting furnace many times. First, the volume of the mixed material is 1/3 of the volume of the reactor, the ignition is ignited, the temperature of the furnace is controlled at 3400~3600, and the mixed material is gradually added to the reaction. The volume of the molten pool in the reacting furnace reaches 3/4 of the volume of the reaction furnace. When the discharge port is opened at the bottom of the reaction furnace, the solution is released slowly to let it flow naturally to the flat plate centrifuge plate under the protection of nitrogen, and the solution is dumped into the collection room around the centrifugal plate by the effect of high speed rotating centrifugal plate machine.

(5)When the temperature is cooled to room temperature, the materials in the collection room are collected and the particles with uniform particle size are obtained through the wind separation and screening equipment.

The center of the process is specially designed for the plate centrifuge of tungsten iron powder produced by tungsten waste. Through the role of high speed rotating centrifugal plate machine, the solution after the reaction is dumped into the collection room around the centrifuge plate, and the spherical particles are naturally formed by the surface tension of the high temperature solution, by controlling the flow and departure of the drainage. The rotational speed of the heart machine can effectively adjust the size of the particle size of the output, and it does not need to be broken through the crusher, thus shortening the process flow and improving the efficiency.
