Nitrogen Doped Bismuth Tungstate Composite Photocatalyst

Bismuth tungstate (Bi2WO6) is a kind of photocatalytic material with visible light response, because of its suitable band gap, relatively high light stability, unique crystal structure and green non-toxic properties, has been widely used in photocatalytic field, such as photocatalytic water splitting, selective light machine synthesis and purification and so on air or water organic pollutants.
In recent years, in order to improve the morphology and improve the photocatalytic performance of bismuth tungstate, researchers have used different methods to modify bismuth tungstate. The traditional modification methods include noble metal deposition, semiconductor heterojunction and ion doping. In this case, the nitrogen doped carbon quantum dots modified bismuth tungstate composite photocatalyst can effectively degrade antibiotic wastewater.
(1)10 mmol of ammonium citrate and 670 uL of ethylenediamine are mixed with 20 mL of water and stirred at 400 rpm for 0.5 h to obtain a nitrogen-doped carbon quantum dot precursor solution; the resulting nitrogen-doped carbon quantum dot precursor solution is obtained. The reaction was performed at 200℃ for 5 h, followed by cooling for 24 h, and a nitrogen-doped carbon quantum dot solution was obtained.
The 485.07mg bismuth nitrate, 165mg sodium tungstate and 20mL water were mixed and the 30min was continuously stirred under the condition of 400rpm, and the solution of bismuth tungstate precursor was obtained.
(2)The prepared bismuth tungstate precursor solution is mixed with the nitrogen doped carbon quantum dot aqueous solution prepared by 1mL step (1), and 2H is continuously stirred at the rotational speed of 400rpm, and the mixed solution is obtained.
(3)Transfer the mixed solution into the teflon lined reactor, seal at 140 degrees, and then heat up to 20h, then cool down to room temperature and get brown yellow precipitation.
(4)The prepared brown yellow precipitate by centrifugation and washed and dried by nitrogen doped carbon quantum dot modified bismuth tungstate composite photocatalyst, named BWONC-1, in which nitrogen doped carbon quantum dots in the mass fraction of nitrogen doped carbon quantum dot modified bismuth tungstate composite photocatalyst was 0.08%.
This is a preparation method of nitrogen doped carbon quantum dot easy control has the advantages of simple process, low cost of raw materials and operating conditions of modified bismuth tungstate composite photocatalyst, preparation of by-product of pollution to the environment is not suitable for continuous process, large-scale mass production, treatment of antibiotic wastewater pollution effects.
