High Temperature Solid Phase Method Prepare Cesium Tungstate Photocatalyst

Cesium tungstate (Cs2WO4), as a new heat insulation material found in recent years, has been widely used in the field of transparent insulation film. Recently, a team has published reports on the preparation of cesium tungstate with solid-phase method and used in the field of photocatalysis.

Cesium tungstate was obtained by solid phase method, a compound containing a tungsten ion W6+ and a compound containing cesium and zCs+ according to the stoichiometric ratio of the corresponding elements in the general formula Cs2W3O10. After grinding and mixing, it is precalcined under the air. The pre calcined temperature is 400~800°C, and the calcining time is 4~15 hours. After natural cooling to room temperature, grinding, mixing and calcining again, the calcining temperature is 800~1200°C, and the calcining time is 4~15 hours. After natural cooling to room temperature, the grinding is uniform, and a kind of cesium tungstate Cs2W3O10 powder is obtained.

The main advantage of the solid phase method is simple. The requirement of cesium tungstate as a photocatalyst is relatively loose, so the production problem can be easily solved by solid phase method, and the production cost of cesium tungstate can be greatly reduced.

The degradation rate of methylene blue by caesium tungstate as a photocatalyst degradation can reach 91.47% in 240 minutes. The photocatalytic efficiency is high, the material source is abundant and the price is low. At the same time, the samples are pure, and no pollution in the manufacturing process. They are ideal photocatalytic materials.
