Chinese Molybdenum Prices - Aug. 24, 2018

Chinese molybdenum prices maintained weak adjustment in the week to Friday August 24. The new environmental protection was launched on August 20 and some molybdenum mines in major production areas stopped production to undergo repair. Affected by that, trading activity in the raw material market increased. 

Ferromolybdenum manufacturers raised offer levels, boosted by good performance in steel biddings. At present, the supply and demand is in a stalemate and enterprises wait for the move in steel biddings.
