Tungsten oxide film has important application value in display field because of its excellent electrochromic characteristics. It can effectively improve its electrochromic performance by doping a proper amount of FTO (fluorine doped tin oxide) nanocrystals. The display device prepared by the film has the characteristics of no blind angle, high contrast, low energy consumption, and can be used as electronic paper, indicator board, etc.

Lubrication of aircraft tail is very important. With good lubricating performance and excellent resistance to high temperature and extreme pressure, tungsten disulfide has high application value in aircraft tail lubrication.

The preparation of composite of tungsten disulfide and graphene involves the four steps: the preparation of graphene oxide, the preparation of RGO, the preparation of tungsten disulfide and the preparation of composite of WS₂ and RGO. This is a simple preparation method with low cost.

With good lubricating performance and excellent substrate adhesion, WS₂ can be applied in catadioptric telescope lubrication. The lens tube and other important parts can be lubricated with this material to ensure the high efficiency and stability of the celestial observation.

With good lubricating performance, tungsten disulfide can be used in equatorial mount lubrication. The use of this instrument is usually accompanied by a lot of friction and energy loss. So its parts have to be lubricated for the stable observation.

Tungsten disulfide can be used to lubricate the relevant parts of the reflecting telescope. And Newtonian telescope is a main kind of reflecting telescope. The excellent observation ability of the telescope depends on the lubrication and maintenance of the parts.
