The Prices of Most Rare Earth in Baotou Increased on a Month-On-Month Basis in March 2025

Recently, according to the information from the Industry and Information Technology Bureau of Baotou City, among the 36 kinds of industrial products under key monitoring in Baotou City in March 2025, on a month-on-month basis, the prices of 17 products such as pig iron, high-speed wire rod, and polyethylene decreased; the prices of 2 products such as polysilicon and monocrystalline silicon remained the same; and the prices of 17 products such as neodymium metal, A00 aluminum, and hydrogen fluoride increased. On a year-on-year basis, the prices of 23 products such as rebar, hot-rolled coil, and lanthanum metal decreased, and the prices of 13 products such as iron concentrate powder, A00 aluminum, and neodymium oxide increased.

Among them, in terms of the rare earth price in Baotou in March 2025, among the prices of the 8 kinds of rare earth products under key monitoring, the prices of 7 products increased and the price of 1 product decreased on a month-on-month basis. Among them, the product with the highest month-on-month increase was cerium oxide, with an average price of 12,444 yuan per ton, a month-on-month increase of 3,882 yuan per ton, a growth rate of 45.3%, and a year-on-year increase of 5,294 yuan per ton, a growth rate of 74.0%. On a year-on-year basis, the prices of 7 products increased and the price of 1 product decreased, and the product with the highest year-on-year increase was also cerium oxide.

According to the information from CTIA GROUP LTD, in March 2025, the prices of most rare earth products in China increased both on a month-on-month and year-on-year basis. Among them, the average price of praseodymium oxide was 464,333 yuan per ton, an increase of 2.64% month-on-month and 26.44% year-on-year; the average price of neodymium oxide was 459,476 yuan per ton, an increase of 3.09% month-on-month and 25.97% year-on-year; the average price of praseodymium-neodymium oxide was 444,000 yuan per ton, an increase of 1.77% month-on-month and 25.78% year-on-year; the average price of praseodymium-neodymium metal was 545,619 yuan per ton, an increase of 1.51% month-on-month and 25.43% year-on-year; the average price of terbium oxide was 6,570 yuan per kilogram, an increase of 7.07% month-on-month and 22.35% year-on-year; the average price of dysprosium oxide was 1,701,905 yuan per ton, a decrease of approximately 0.99% month-on-month and approximately 6.78% year-on-year; the average price of dysprosium-iron alloy was 1,657,143 yuan per ton, a decrease of approximately 2.13% month-on-month and approximately 6.85% year-on-year.

Among the 3 kinds of non-ferrous metal products under key monitoring in Baotou City in March 2025, the average price of A00 aluminum was 20,731 yuan per ton, an increase of 210 yuan per ton, a growth rate of 1.0% month-on-month, and an increase of 1,539 yuan per ton, a growth rate of 8.0% year-on-year; the average price of No. 1 magnesium ingot was 17,433 yuan per ton, a decrease of 342 yuan per ton, a decline rate of 1.9% month-on-month, and a decrease of 2,117 yuan per ton, a decline rate of 10.8% year-on-year; the average price of No. 1 copper was 79,727 yuan per ton, an increase of 2,749 yuan per ton, a growth rate of 3.6% month-on-month, and an increase of 8,359 yuan per ton, a growth rate of 11.7% year-on-year.
