How to Stop Rings From Discoloring Your Fingers

Cheap jewelry can look really cute -- it might not be real gems or pure metal, but if no one can tell, you might as well go easy on your wallet and opt for it over something that will blow your budget. But one thing that's sure to give you away is the green line left on your finger by some rings. It's caused by your skin's reaction to filler metals like copper. Fortunately, you can easily prevent it.
Wash the ring with soap and water to remove any oils from your hands that might be on it.
Dry the ring thoroughly with a towel.

Apply a coat of clear nail polish to any parts of the ring that touch your fingers and leave marks.

Reapply the nail polish as necessary if it wears off and your finger turns green again.
