This week, the overall tungsten price showed a stable upward trend, mainly manifested in the tight supply and high price of tungsten ore, and the passive price increase of smelters and alloy enterprises due to cost-driven.

However, insufficient demand-side sentiment has led to a stalemate in market transactions, with short-term supply-demand contradictions difficult to resolve. Coupled with significant uncertainties in international trade relations, tungsten market activity remains cautious.

The price of 65% black tungsten concentrate was reported at RMB 145,000/ton. The tungsten ore market remains firm, driven by tight supply pressures. However, demand has not shown significant improvement, with transactions at the upper price range facing resistance.

Ammonium paratungstate (APT) prices were reported at RMB 214,000/ton. Coexisting cost pressures and demand constraints have led to significant margin pressures for smelters, with offer prices rising in line with tungsten raw materials. Actual transaction follow-through remains weak, and bullish and bearish views continue to diverge.

Tungsten powder prices were reported at RMB 319/kg, and tungsten carbide powder at RMB 314/kg. Rising raw material costs and price adjustments for cemented carbide products have provided emotional support for traders. However, the pressure of insufficient demand momentum persists, and the spot trading deadlock is unlikely to break in the short term.

The price of 70% ferrotungsten was reported at RMB 220,000/ton. The market reflects both optimism and caution, with the industry chain in a tightly balanced supply-demand state. A strong wait-and-see sentiment prevails, and prices adjust according to market conditions.

Waste tungsten prices have stabilized, with no significant changes in the recent fundamental stalemate. Macro-level uncertainties are causing more interference, market participants remain cautious, and overall market progress has slowed.
