Rare Chinese international litigation lasted for two years, with the preliminary results , the World Trade Organization ruled that China's export management products involved violations. This again shows that some developed economies still use the rules , by the real name of fair trade trip trade discrimination .
In recent years , the Chinese Government to strengthen and continue to improve on some resource products , especially high pollution, high energy consumption, consumption management resource products , the purpose is to protect resources and the environment and achieve sustainable development , no intention by way of trade-distorting protect domestic industries .
At the same time , though WTO rules require its members to eliminate export restrictions , but provides for two exemptions , namely, " to protect people , animal or plant life or health measures ," and " the protection available measures of exhaustible natural resources if such measures with restrictions on domestic production or consumption with the implementation . " Thus, the Chinese restrictions on rare earth exports of exhaustible natural resources is also well-founded .
The China International Rare lawsuit again shows that the development and implementation of WTO rules , there are still some unfairness . Although there are more than 150 members of the WTO , which accounts for more than two-thirds of the developing members , the number of dominant, but some members of the developed economies are still on the formulation and implementation of WTO rules plays a leading role.
Western developed economies face "rules advantage" , it is imperative that we should continue to strengthen the WTO "language" of learning , skillfully control the international multilateral trade rules . The same time to participate actively in the development of new rules on unfair trade rules to promote improvements and fixes , and then through these rules for their own sustainable development to provide better external protection.
