On the view of China, the WTO not only emphasizes on free trade , respect for sovereignty over natural resources, at the same time, it allows members to take the necessary means to realize the resource protection objectives. China will carefully evaluate the WTO ruling and conform to the WTO rules to strengthen the resources product management, promote resource conservation, the maintenance of fair competition, achieve sustainable development.

The director said that, if the report of Appellate Body of WTO and the report of exports were passed by the dispute-settlement panels, the adjudication would come into force. According to the procedures of the dispute-settlement panels, China will do properly follow-up work of this case.

China believed that WTO do not only stress free trade, but also respect sovereignty of natural resources, and allow the members to protect resource by taking the necessary means. With the evaluation to WTO’s adjudication, China will strengthen the management of resource products, promote resource conservation, and maintain fair competition to achieve sustainable development in accordance with WTO’s regulation.

The officer said that the final adjudication will be defined when the reports from WTO’s Appellate Body and the export group are passed by WTO’s Dispute Settlement Body.
