Chinese Rare Earth Market - February 18, 2024

Chinese rare earth market overall maintains a weak and stable trend as before the holiday. On the first day after the end of the Spring Festival holiday, although many suppliers have not yet entered normal operation and logistics transportation is relatively slow, some downstream users are still willing to make purchases.

This to a large extent supports the stable operation of prices for praseodymium, neodymium, terbium, dysprosium, gadolinium, and other rare earth raw materials. Currently, the prices of praseodymium-neodymium oxide, terbium oxide, and dysprosium oxide are approximately 401,000 yuan per ton, 5,670 yuan per kilogram, and 1,930,000 yuan per ton respectively.

In terms of news, Hengdian Dongci is expected to achieve a net profit attributable to shareholders of the listed company of 1.76 billion yuan to 1.92 billion yuan in 2023, a year-on-year increase of 5.44% to 15.02%; it is expected to achieve a net profit after deducting non-recurring gains and losses of 1.84 billion yuan to 2 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 15.00% to 25.00%.
