China’s Ganzhou Tungsten Association Raised its Average Tungsten Forecast Prices for January 2023

Analysis of latest tungsten market from Chinatungsten Online

China tungsten price was in the upward trend in the first trading week of the year 2023. 

First, due to the recent increase of facility maintenance of tungsten raw material manufacturers or holiday arrangements, the supply of market resources is relatively tight; second, the consumer side has a certain amount of stock just before the Spring Festival, although external risk factors still inhibit the market procurement initiative; third, a new round of quotations from institutions and tungsten enterprises increased as expected, boosting the market's offer mentality.

China’s Ganzhou Tungsten Association (GTA) released its average tungsten forecast prices for January 2023: 55% black tungsten concentrate price was $16,764.7/ton, up $808.8/ton; APT price was $291.6/mtu, up $291.6/mtu, medium particle tungsten powder price was $40.4/kg, up $1.9/kg compared with December 2022. 

Jiangxi Tungsten quoted high grade black tungsten concentrate at $17,132.4/ton; up $367.6/ton compared with the second half of December 2022.
