Export prices of  origin tungsten concentrate 55-60%min held firm between USD280-285mtu CIF Asia last week, whilst lower grade material, between 50-55%min WO3, was offered between USD270-275mtu CIF Asia.

Buying activity remained steady from China and Vietnamese tungsten processors who have seen offers of domestically produced material increase rapidly over the past three months.

A European based distributor of origin tungsten concentrate explained that his sales prices for 55-60% WO3 material have held firm between USD280-285mtu CIF Asia over the past two weeks.

China tungsten concentrate prices show uptrend.

As some companies purchased the materials in large quantities, the tungsten concentrate prices were pushed up sharply in the recent two weeks in China.

A source from a tungsten concentrate factory noted that they make offers for wolframite 55% at RMB138,000-140,000t USD342-347mtu this week, and some offers are at above RMB140,000t USD347mtu.

European ammonium paratungstate prices（APT prices） have increased almost USD20mtu in less than two weeks, with prices ranging between USD375-385mtu in warehouse Rotterdam as of Thursday. 

The same cannot be said for European tungsten carbide 99.7%min powder prices that have enjoyed only subtle increases since then end of May and ranged, depending on grade and particle size, between EUR44.00-46.00kg d.d.p to European consumers on Thursday.
