Tungsten carbide self-excited pulsed nozzle is developed and manufactured according to the principle of self-excited oscillation and can be used as the nozzle of roller bit. It addition to possessing the excellent properties of common tungsten carbide nozzles, it also has its unique property of intermittent jet, which improves operation efficiency.
The principle of tungsten carbide self-excited pulsed nozzle is as follows: The water jet flow coming out from the upper part of the nozzle is reflected by the upper and lower surfaces. The reflection pressure wave in the upper surface equals to the initial phase of water pressure wave moving downwards and thus forming wave superposition, which hit the jet flow reflected by the lower surface, resulting in strong circular shear stress, which makes high shear jet stream into instantaneous vacuum form alternating water bomb. High pressure generated in the vacuum projects the water bomb at a high speed, forming discontinuous water bomb jet flow, and thus overcoming the disadvantages of low energies of continuous jet nozzles and improve the instantaneous impact force of the jet effective spray distance and the hydraulic energy when the jet flow arrives at the cleaning area.
