Tungsten carbide (WC) has excellent properties of high hardness, high strength, high rigidity, good wear resistance, and thermal conductivity. It has wide application files of tools in the metalworking, drilling, and mining industries under severe conditions of high-pressure, high-temperature, and corrosive environment. These mechanical properties is affected by the composition and microstructural parameters including the grain size. It is known that reduction of WC gives a significant improvement in the mechanical properties of the consolidated compacts.
