Australian Bauxite Limited (ABx) says it has discovered the highest-grade rare earth element, neodymium, in its Deep Leads discovery. It told the Australian Securities Exchange it was awaiting the results of 20 recent drill holes that could "materially expand" the known extent of the mineralization.

Ferro-Alloy Resources, a developer of the large Balasausqandiq vanadium mine in southern Kazakhstan, recently announced that it has achieved its first commercial sale of ferro-molybdenum and has completed production testing of ferro-vanadium.

Vancouver-based mining company Starcore International Mines has expanded its exploration for molybdenum and other precious metals in Mexico. The company's holdings include a producing mine and exploration and development projects in Mexico.

Aldoro Resources reports that sampling at its Wyemandoo project in Western Australia has shown highly anomalous levels of rubidium (Rb). Rb is used in a range of industrial applications, including fiber optic cables, GPS systems, and specialty glass in night vision equipment, and potentially in the future for sodium-ion batteries.
