According to Fujian Daily, Zijin Mining recently received a resource reserve evaluation approval certificate from the Fujian Provincial Natural Resources Evaluation Center for its "Zijinshan Mine Northeast Ore Section Copper Exploration Report." This copper mine, identified as the largest porphyry copper-molybdenum deposit discovered in Fujian in nearly 20 years, has a cumulative ore volume of 340 million tons, with 1.33 million tons of copper metal resources and 90,000 tons of molybdenum metal resources.

Recently, the 514 Geological Brigade of the North China Geological Exploration Bureau announced that the resource verification report for the Shamai Tungsten Mine project, implemented by its Mineral Exploration Institute, has successfully passed the expert review by the Ministry of Natural Resources. The Fujian Provincial Department of Natural Resources recently announced, as part of its response to Proposal No. 20251363 from the Third Session of the 13th Fujian Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, several measures to promote the large-scale development and utilization of mineral resources. Focusing on strategic resources, five national planning mining areas have been designated: Xinluo Wan'an Rare Earth Mine, Shanghang Yangpokeng-Wuping Jinqiao Rare Earth Mine, Wuyishan Shangxikeng-Pucheng Hantangwu Molybdenum Fluorite Mine, Gutian Xichao Molybdenum Mine, and Dehua Shuangqishan-Dongyang Gold Mine. These areas aim to establish a modern, efficient resource development and utilization demonstration zone through unified planning and optimized layouts, promoting large-scale and intensive resource development. Additionally, based on the current state of key and strategic mineral development in Fujian, six energy and resource bases have been established: Longyan Makeng Iron Mine, Longyan Zijinshan Copper Mine, Pucheng Longtangsi-Yilishuping Fluorite Mine, Shaowu Nanshanxia-Daping Fluorite Graphite Mine, Qingliu Weijiashan-Yong'an Yinkeng Fluorite Mine, and Ninghua Xingluokeng-Qingliu Guomuyang Tungsten Mine. These bases will receive prioritized support in industrial planning, major project arrangements, resource allocation, and related policies to drive large-scale resource development and industrial clustering, forming a strategic core area to ensure a secure mineral resource supply.
