Nano tungsten trioxide is an important inorganic functional nano material for preparing bathroom heat insulating glass coating. In this regard, some experts started with the dispersion of WO3 nanopowder and tin antimony oxide (ATO) nanopowder, and prepared three systems of transparent heat-insulating coatings. They are nano ATO/two-component water-based polyurethane coatings, nano WO3/two-component water-based polyurethane coatings, and ATO-WO3/bi-component water-based polyurethane coatings, respectively.

Among them, water-based polyurethane is a good film-forming substance. So, what is water-based polyurethane? Water-based polyurethane is a new type of polyurethane system that uses water instead of organic solvents as a dispersion medium. It is also called water-dispersed polyurethane, waterborne polyurethane or aqueous polyurethane. Water-based polyurethane, using water as a solvent, has the advantages of no pollution, safety and reliability, excellent mechanical properties, good compatibility, and easy modification. That is to say, the WO3 coating using water-based polyurethane coating as a film-forming substance is also environmentally friendly.
