Cesium Tungsten Bronze Applied for Glass Dome Thermal Insulating Film

Cesium tungsten bronze, CsxWO3, can achieve more than 90% infrared absorption at 950nm, and the visible light transmittance at 550nm is over 70%. Therefore, it can be used to prepare a new type of environmentally friendly glass dome thermal insulating film. But do you know how to prepare such a CsxWO3 film?

Preparation of Cesium Tungsten Bronze Glass Dome Thermal Insulating Film

Step One: Preparation of 0.1g/ml polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) solution: Weigh a certain amount of PVA powder into deionized water, mixing, and the mixed liquid is placed at room temperature for more than 12h, then the mixed solution is stirred for 3 h in a water bath at 80 °C, filtering to obtain PVA solution.

Step Two: The cesium tungsten bronze powder is thoroughly ground and ultrasonically dispersed in deionized water for 3 times, added to the already prepared PVA solution, stirred in a water bath at 80 °C for 20-50 min, aged for 2 d. And then, it is coated on a common glass (length x width x thickness = 7 x 12 x 0.3 cm^3) or a glass slide by an immersion pulling method or a roll coating method to obtain cesium tungsten bronze coated glass. Among them, the concentration of the cesium tungsten bronze powder contained in the coating liquid was 0.0136 g/ml. That is to say, the cesium tungsten bronze powder can be made into cesium tungsten bronze heat-insulating coating, and then applied to a glass dome to be coated as a heat-insulating film.
