Tungsten Trioxide Applied for Conductive Glass

Tungsten trioxide, mainly ordered nanostructured WO3, has the characteristics of nanomaterials and outstanding quantum effects, and exhibits outstanding properties in electrophotochromic, photochromic and other optoelectronic properties. So, WO3 can be applied to conductive glass, such as, FTO conductive glass, ITO conductive glass, ITO/PET flexible conductive substrate, and conductive glass of glass and metal.

Some experts have proposed a method for preparing a tungsten trioxide film on a FTO conductive glass substrate. Specifically, the tungstate is dissolved in water to prepare a tungstate solution, and the obtained tungstate solution is acidified by adding a large amount of hydrochloric acid, and then added with one or more phosphotungstic acid, phosphomolybdic acid or silicotungstic acid in a molar amount of 5%-35% of tungstate, stirred until no precipitation is produced, to obtain a precursor mixture; ammonium oxalate is added as a structure directing agent to the obtained precursor, stirring for 0.5-2 hours, and then transferred to a high pressure reactor equipped with an FTO substrate, control the temperature at 100-180°C, react for 1-24h, naturally cool to room temperature, remove the FTO substrate loaded with tungsten trioxide crystals, calcined at a high temperature of 400-600°C for 0.5-4h in a muffle furnace to obtain a tungsten trioxide film on the FTO substrate.
