Some experts said that polyurethane molecules are well-arranged with strong intermolecular force, high strength and wear resistance so that polyurethane is a good film-forming material. It has also been reported in the literature that the obtained transparent heat-insulating coating material prepared by using water-based polyurethane as a film-forming material has excellent heat insulating property and high visible light transmittance.

Some experts use nano cesium tungsten bronze particles as heat-insulating particles, and water-based polyurethane as a film-forming resin to prepare transparent thermal insulation coating. And the coating is sprayed on the glass window. The results showed that the visible light transmittance of such glass is 75%, and the near-infrared shielding rate is as high as 90%, which can reduce indoor temperature by 5-7°C.
