Lanthanum Oxide Price - May 14, 2019

Rare earth market quotation in China: the latest prices of DyFe, terbium oxide and dysprosium oxide climb slightly while lanthanum oxide price remains unstable. The rise is mainly due to the tight supply expectations of the market after the limited import of Myanmar mines, coupled with the tough efforts of domestic environmental inspections.

Yunnan Tengchong Customs will completely ban Myanmar rare earth mines from importing China on May 15. The annual consumption of China's medium-heavy rare earth mines is 50,000-60,000 tons. The medium-heavy-type rare earth mines imported from Myanmar in 2018 are about 26,000 tons, accounting for nearly 50%. A total ban on medium-heavy-type rare earth ore from Myanmar tightens domestic supply, according to the news.
