15th Session of 6th CTIA Presidium Meeting in Luoyang

Recently, the guidance price of tungsten products which is published by some regional association (ex. Ganzhou Tungsten Industry Association) and enterprises (ex. Chongyi Zhangyuan Tungsten Co., Ltd) falls significantly.

A lot of domestic tungsten molybdenum enterprises are confronted with the difficulty in the disposal of three industrial wastes when the US imposes THE import tariffs on thousands of commodities including China's tungsten and molybdenum products. China imposes the import tariffs on American waste of tungsten and molybdenum products in response to it. On August 8th, 2018, the 15th session of the 6th CTIA Presidium Meeting was held in the Luoyang City, Henan province. 

In response to the above economic situation and the situation which tungsten industry is facing, the main leaders of CTIA briefed about the economic operation of the tungsten industry in the first half of the year, and has fully discussed the high-quality development of the tungsten industry in the second half of the year, the prevention and control of tungsten smelting pollution, the disposal of tungsten slag and the impact of Sino-American trade conflict on the tungsten industry. The General Manager of China Molybdenum Co., Ltd, Mr. Huang gave an overview of CMOC, its foreign property and the achievement of Scheelite Recovery System in brief.

During the interval of the meeting, accompanied by Wang Zhengyan, Vice-General Manager of CMOC, the Presidium of CTIA visited the tungsten and molybdenum mine and the tungsten industry company of CMOC. “Under the severe situation of market, CMOC will continue to fulfil the association duties and corporate with the Presidium for the high-quality development of China’s tungsten industry.” Li Faben, the General Manager of CMOC, said.

According to Zhang Yujie, correspondent of CMOC, more than a dozen of representatives attended the meeting. It includes the Vice Chairman of CTIA, the Chief Secretary Liu Liangxian, Executive Chairman Liao Daxue, LI Faben from CMOC, Jiang Zhiqiang and so on.
