China's Tungsten Products Imports from January to September 2025

According to data compiled by Chinatungsten Online from the General Administration of Customs, from January to September 2025, China's imports of tungsten products (excluding cemented carbide tools and tungsten halogen lamps) reached 15,700 tons, reflecting a year-on-year increase of 41.31% compared to the same period in 2024. The import value was RMB 2.003 billion, showing a year-on-year increase of 33.12%.

From January to September 2025, China imported:

Tungsten ores & concentrates: 13,600 tons, a year-on-year increase of 67.58%.

Ammonium paratungstate: 2,007 kg, compared to only 4 kg in the same period last year.

Calcium wolframate: 78.30 tons, a year-on-year increase of 29.17%.

Ammonium metatungstate: 210 kg, compared to only 1 kg in the same period last year.

Tungsten powders: 28.65 tons, a year-on-year increase of 46.62%.

Unwrought tungsten, including bars & rods obtained simply by sintering: 2,405 kg, a year-on-year increase of 22.08%.

Tungsten wire: 4,269 kg, a year-on-year increase of 8.21%.

Tungstic acid: 10.75 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 64.94%.

Tungsten trioxides: 16.89 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 77.82%.

Other tungsten oxides & hydroxides, nes: 40.04 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 45.17%.

Tungsten hexafluoride: 342.58 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 5.25%.

Sodium tungstate: 1,465.46 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 32.95%.

Carbides of tungsten: 52.40 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 47.33%.

Ferro-tungsten: 37 kg, a year-on-year decrease of 99.86%.

Bars & rods, excluding those obtained simply by sintering; profiles, plates, sheets, strips, and foils: 4,798 kg, a year-on-year decrease of 43.11%.

Additionally, from January to September 2025, China imported:

Knives and cutting blades, for machines or mechanical appliances, of metal carbides, coated or plated: 536.17 tons, a year-on-year increase of 0.77%.

Other knives and cutting blades, for machines or mechanical appliances, of metal carbides: 402.19 tons, a year-on-year increase of 2.11%.
