China's Tungsten Products Imports in September 2025

According to data compiled by Chinatungsten Online from the General Administration of Customs, in September 2025, China's imports of tungsten products (excluding cemented carbide tools and tungsten halogen lamps) totaled 2,291.20 tons, representing a year-on-year increase of 24.01% compared to September 2024, but a month-on-month decrease of 2.42% compared to August 2025. The import value reached RMB 347 million, reflecting a year-on-year increase of 50.43% and a month-on-month increase of 18.80%.

In September 2025, China imported:

Tungsten ores & concentrates: 2,116.42 tons, a year-on-year increase of 42.95% and a month-on-month decrease of 2.37%.

Tungsten trioxides: 3,300 kg, a year-on-year decrease of 9.02% and a month-on-month decrease of 49.60%.

Tungsten hexafluoride: 35.77 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 8.50% and a month-on-month decrease of 2.13%.

Sodium tungstate: 124.32 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 55.48% and a month-on-month decrease of 5.92%.

Carbides of tungsten: 4,290 kg, a year-on-year decrease of 88.77%, compared to 261 kg in August 2025.

Tungsten powders: 3,263 kg, a year-on-year increase of 33.08% and a month-on-month increase of 348.21%.

Unwrought tungsten, including bars & rods obtained simply by sintering: 3 kg, with no recorded imports in September 2024, and a month-on-month decrease of 99.02%.

Tungsten wire: 750 kg, a year-on-year increase of 65.56% and a month-on-month increase of 23.97%.

Bars & rods, excluding those obtained simply by sintering; profiles, plates, sheets, strips, and foils: 162 kg, a year-on-year decrease of 72.26% and a month-on-month decrease of 89.13%.

Additionally, in September 2025, China imported:

Knives and cutting blades, for machines or mechanical appliances, of metal carbides, coated or plated: 68.26 tons, a year-on-year increase of 8.84% and a month-on-month increase of 13.78%.

Other knives and cutting blades, for machines or mechanical appliances, of metal carbides: 72.14 tons, a year-on-year increase of 42.13% and a month-on-month increase of 87.61%.
