Preparation of Nano Violet Tungsten Oxide

Here is the specific preparation process of nano violet tungsten oxide as following as:

1. The Preparation of Raw Materials

Tungsten source: tungstate or complex of tungsten

Organic solvent: alcohol solvent, oleamine or oleic acid

Among them, oleic acid is a kind of monounsaturated Omega-9 fatty acid and exists in animals and plants. Its chemical formula is C18H34O2, or CH3 (CH2) 7CH=CH (CH2) 7COOH. Stearic acid is obtained by hydrogenation of oleic acid. The double bond trans isomer of oleic acid is called elaidic acid.

As for oleamine, it is C18 unsaturated amine. It is colorless liquid or crystal. Oleamine has a pungent smell. It is corrosive.

2. The Preparation of Nano Violet Tungsten Oxide

The tungsten source is dissolved in organic solvent. The mixture is stirred and then transferred into the high-pressure reactor. After 0.5-48 hours of reaction at 100-240°C, the mixture is separated centrifugally. And nano violet tungsten oxide is successfully prepared.

Materials with different morphology (such as nanoparticle, nanowire, nanospheres and nanorod) can be successfully prepared by this method. Nano violet tungsten oxide has strong absorbing ability of near-infrared light. And it can convert near-infrared light into energy. After the functionalization, nano violet tungsten oxide can absorb laser and generate heat effectively under the excitation of near-infrared laser, rising the ambient temperature by 1-10°C in 1-60 minutes. It has high application value in the treatment of cancer. Nano violet tungsten oxide is a kind of photothermal conversion material with broad application prospects.
