Vancouver has filed the 43-101 technical report for the feasibility study of its Sisson tungsten-molybdenum project 60 km northwest of Fredericton. The company says the $579-million development is both technically and economically viable.
A mine at Scisson Brook has the potential to produce 8% of the world's tungsten, and that percentage jumps to 40% of when Chinese production is discounted. An open pit and 30,000-t/d mill, and an ammonium paratungstate plant would produce roughly 557,000 tonnes of APT and 4.1 million lb of molybdenum annually for 27 years.
