International Tungsten demand improved slightly sluggish domestic demand

According to Chinese customs statistics data analysis , in February 2014 Chinese exports to 1,022 tons of tungsten tungsten ( including mixtures ) , a decrease of 31.78% , mainly due to the impact of the Chinese New Year holiday . The first two months of 2538 tons of tungsten exports , an increase of 5.14% . It is understood from the export enterprises, foreign purchases of normal , is still maintaining some of the old customers purchase , purchases have not increased significantly. It is difficult to judge overseas demand has improved, but it does show a growth momentum. January to March is expected to export 4280 tons of tungsten , an increase of 2.5%.

Tungsten can be seen from the number of major export products , APT, tungsten carbide metatungstate and export volume grew , mainly because of improved environmental standards abroad . January-February exports APT477 tons , an increase of 115.92% ; export metatungstate 409 tons , an increase of 304% ; WC 325 tons , an increase of 10.1 %. Tungsten oxide exports still down 1-2 February exports 487 tons of yellow tungsten oxide , down 7.74% ; export 294 tons of tungsten blue oxide , down 3.61 percent .

Judging from tungsten imports , in February 2014 imports 288 tons of tungsten , 1-2 months of imports 695 tons , down 33 % compared to the same period in 2013 . Scheelite tungsten products are mainly imported , accounting for more than 90% of total imports . By weak domestic demand and the impact of oversupply , the first two months of tungsten imports dropped significantly. January to March is expected to import 1,190 tons of tungsten , down 22.3% .

2014 January-February imports 516 tons of tungsten concentrates , which imports 433 tons of tungsten concentrate in Fujian Province , accounting for 84 % of total imports ; Liaoning imported 26 tons , accounting for 5 % of total imports . Guangdong is imported in previous years, the main areas of tungsten concentrate , from January to February this year, almost no imports. Chinese tungsten concentrate imported mainly from Russia, Canada , Rwanda , Bolivia and Vietnam .
