[Know Tungsten] What is Tungsten Flux?

Tungsten flux, also known as tungsten particles, is a granular substance made of high-purity tungsten metal (usually purity ≥99.95%). It has a silver-gray or light-gray polyhedral structure and has the characteristics of high density, high melting point, high hardness, corrosion resistance, strong conductivity and small thermal expansion coefficient. It is generally used as a flux in carbon-sulfur analyzers to analyze the carbon and sulfur content in steel, alloys, ceramics, minerals and other inorganic substances. Tungsten flux can promote the melting of the test sample through oxidation combustion and heat release, and it is not easy to splash, which is conducive to stabilizing the carbon-sulfur analysis results.
