【Know Tungsten】Tungsten Applications in Lighting Industry

About 4-5% of annual worldwide tungsten production is consumed by the lighting industry. The largest market is still for incandescent lamps. However, more than 70% of artificial lighting is today generated by fluorescent lamps and this portion is steadily increasing. Modern production units can produce more than 6000 lamps per hour. Tungsten is used in the forms of wires, coils, and coiled coils in incandescent lamps, and as electrode in low-and high-pressure discharge lamps.
