Ganzhou Tungsten Industry Association announced that the guiding price of medium-sized tungsten powder was RMB310kg USD50.0kg, which increased by around RMB17kg USD2.7kg compared with RMB293kg USD46.9kg in April.

However, owing to the weak demand from the downstream markets, the tungsten carbide powder prices are hard to move up sharply in a short time.

China Minmetals Non-ferrous metal Co., Ltd announced the  65% wolframite prices are at RMB135,000t USD330mtu, and the offers for scheelite 65% at RMB134,000t USD327mtu in May. which unchanged compared with those of last month.

Mainstream European ammonium paratungstate  (APT) prices have held between USD340-350mtu in warehouse Rotterdam this week, showing no change for almost four weeks, with some traders even speculating that with a firm bid some stockholders would be prepared to sell at USD335mtu in warehouse Rotterdam.

This lack of movement in terms of price and buying activity has come as a surprise to some suppliers who have seen China ammonium paratungstate (APT) export prices move up USD10mtu in a little over two weeks to range between USD360-370mtu CIF Rotterdam as of Thursday.
