Chinese molybdenum prices are unchanged from the previous trading day, although new environmental inspection boosts market confidence. The supply and demand is in a stalemate. Recently, researchers of University of Washington discover that the 2-D form of tungsten ditelluride can undergo ferroelectric switching. When two monolayers of WTe2 are stacked into a bilayer, a spontaneous electrical polarization appears, one layer becoming positively charged and the other negatively charged. This polarization can be flipped by applying an electric field. The research result has been published by Nature.

Tungsten has been successfully 3D printed using a commercial 3D printer, and indeed Philips unit Smit Roentgen (now Dunlee) developed Tungsten 3D printing a few years ago on EOS equipment, using the material in the serial production of tungsten 3D printed parts. But, there have been few studies focusing on understanding the effect of powder and process parameters on tungsten and other high melting point materials.
