While this method has the disadvantage of low yield, which is not conducive to mass production. So, some experts have proposed a simple process - high temperature vulcanization method - to prepare flower-shaped WS2 nano particles. The high purity WS2 nano particles are prepared by this method with low cost and high yield, so it is expected to be used in large-scale industrial production.

Also, such a lubricant can be used to lubricate various mechanical equipment in corrosive environments where requiring increasing load and decreasing friction coefficient.
