According to Hunan Daily, at the 2007 Hunan Science and Technology Innovation Award Conference held in Changsha on May 4, Hunan Provincial Governor Xu Dazhe said: "Hunan should speed up the construction of innovative provinces and create inland innovation highlands, entrepreneurship highlands, high-tech highlands and talent highlands."
On this day, under the witness and award of provincial Party Secretary Du Jiahao and provincial governor Xu Dazhe, the awardees won the "red book" which praised their outstanding scientific research achievements. Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and researcher of the Institute of Subtropical Agricultural Ecology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences Yinyulong won the Outstanding Contribution Award; Sun Lunquan and Dong Chao won the International Science and Technology Cooperation Award; 211 projects (teams) won the Science and Technology Award; and 50 patents won the Patent Award. In the list of winners, the project "W-Cu, W-Ni-Fe and Ultra-fine WC-Co Tungsten Substrate Advanced Preparation Technology and Application" completed by an innovative technology enterprise in Hunan Province won the first prize of the Provincial Technology Invention Award at the Hunan Science and Technology Innovation Award Conference.
Tungsten is a very important strategic material. The refractory metal material based on tungsten is called tungsten-based material. It is widely used in the fields of electronic information, aviation, aerospace, national defense and military industry. However, the traditional tungsten-based material preparation has some key problems, such as "difficult to control structure, uneven structure, unstable performance, key equipment depending on import", and its performance is difficult to meet the high-end application requirements.
A supporting guide roll for steel wire stretching usually runs out a groove in a week and needs to be repaired. After spraying a layer of nano-cemented carbide powder, the guide roller can work continuously for one year. The nano-cemented carbide powder, which used to be imported, is now the first to be domesticated in Hunan Province. WC-Co, W-Cu and W-Ni-Fe are the three most important tungsten-based materials. In view of the characteristics of these three materials, the project team invented several new technologies to prepare WC-Co nano-composite powders with controllable structure and properties, and increased the transverse fracture strength, thermal conductivity, air tightness, tensile strength and elongation of the three materials by more than 10% to 20%. At the same time, the project team independently developed a "large-scale, large-scale, intelligent" complete set of equipment, which improved the stability of materials, and realized the short process of high-performance tungsten-based materials, green energy-saving large-scale production. Up to now, 10 invention patents have been authorized and 1 industry standard has been formulated.
It is reported that the structure of tungsten-based materials is difficult to control, which is the cause of uneven structure and unstable performance. The ionic interlayer mixing technology invented by the project team is based on tungsten-based material structure control. Traditional tungsten-based materials are manufactured by powder metallurgy. When powder is mixed, it is solid-solid dispersion mixing. It is difficult to uniform all kinds of components. The impurities produced by friction between ball-milling medium and cylinder will affect the composition, structure and properties of the alloy. Ion interlayer mixing technology can make the mixing of components as uniform as sugar water, without ball milling and impurities.
With the large-scale production of high-end tungsten-based products and key equipment to replace imports, the project not only lowered the prices of similar products abroad, but also exported to the United States, Russia, Germany and other countries, creating a direct economic benefit of 530 million yuan.
