European ammonium paratungstate prices（APT prices） have increased almost USD20mtu in less than two weeks, with prices ranging between USD375-385mtu in warehouse Rotterdam as of Thursday. 

The same cannot be said for European tungsten carbide 99.7%min powder prices that have enjoyed only subtle increases since then end of May and ranged, depending on grade and particle size, between EUR44.00-46.00kg d.d.p to European consumers on Thursday.

European ferro-tungsten prices drop further as demand dries up.

Last week’s USD1.00kg W price decline of the European ferro-tungsten price appears to be slightly more than simply profit taking by traders who purchased large volumes of material when prices were rocketing up through April and May.

Although some ‘cashing in’ appears to have been behind the initial drop in price last week, sources on Tuesday stated that softening downstream demand and increasing availability of material have also reversed earlier concerns that supply of material would continue to tighten into the summer months.

Spot market buying activity non-existent in European ammonium paratungstate market (APT market) .

The European ammonium paratungstate (APT) spot market held flat through last week with downstream users showing little interest in procuring material at a time when mainstream prices appear heavily inflated by the influence of Chinese export offers.

Offering prices in Europe hovered between USD365-375mtu in warehouse Rotterdam as of Friday, although sources were quick to point out that sales had not yet been made at these levels.

The tungsten concentrate guide price in China was moved up again for early June and as a result APT export numbers picked up USD5-10mtu to range between USD375-385mtu CIF Rotterdam on Friday.

China someone announced the offers for wolframite 65% at RMB155,000t USD384mtu, and the offers for scheelite 65% at RMB154,000t USD382mtu in June, which increased by around RMB17,000t USD42.2mtu compared with those of in second half of May.

On 5th Jun, Ganzhou Tungsten Industry Association announced the guiding price of wolframite 65%min at RMB135,000t USD334mtu, which increased by around RMB2,000t USD4.96mtu.
