The Tōryū-class diesel-electric attack submarine (SSK) for the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF) equipped with lithium-ion batteries entered the water in a ceremony held at Kawasaki Heavy Industries (KHI)'s facilities in Kobe on the morning of November 6. It is the second lithium battery attack sub in Japan and as the Japanese next-generation sub verification boat numbered as SS-512.

Transition Metals Corp (Transition) acquired a tungsten project in Ontario, Canada. The company is a Sudbury, Ontario-based company and pleased to reveal that it has purchased a 100% interest in the Fostung Property located at Sudbury, Ontario, the property hosts a historic tungsten trioxide (WO3) skarn resource that was stated in 2007 to contain an inferred mineral resource of 12.4 million tonnes grading 0.213 by weight of WO3 minerals, according to a press release.
