Auckland Darts Masters for Ryder

The DPA Australian Grand Prix leader secured his spot in a third successive PDC World Series of Darts event with the success in the first of four DPNZ Qualifiers being held at the Swanson RSA in Auckland.

Perth-based Ryder followed up a whitewash of Damon Heta - a Sydney Darts Masters qualifier last year - with wins over top New Zealanders Mike Day, Warren Parry and Caldwell in the final three rounds of the qualifier.

The win secures Ryder's place in the inaugural Auckland Darts Masters, which is being held from Friday August 28-Sunday August 30 at the Trusts Arena in Auckland.

The DPNZ Qualifiers continue on Wednesday with two events, with the final qualifying event to take place on Thursday ahead of the main event's first round on Friday night.
