E-waste is a good source of rare earths, and its recycling efficiency needs to be improved. Recently, the Royal Society of Chemistry (via bbc.com) is running a campaign to raise awareness of the unsustainability of mining precious metals. These metals and the materials applied often end up in landfills, producing potentially toxic contaminants. However, these wastes are also an untapped resource, hence the need for recycling.

Pagero Group to Finance Its Proposed Acquisition of Tungsten Corporation Plc

Pagero Group AB has entered into an arrangement whereby Pagero has issued a note facility in the principal amount of SEK 750 million (the "Notes Financing"), replacing the previous bank financing arrangement. The net proceeds from the initial notes will be used for the planned acquisition of Tungsten Corporation Plc.

American Rare Earths Confirms Major Rare Earth Deposit at Halleck Creek project

American Rare Earths confirms a major deposit at Halleck Creek image

American Rare Earths Ltd (ARR) has confirmed the presence of a major rare earth deposit through its first exploration drilling program at its Halleck Creek Project in Wyoming, USA. The company drilled 917 meters in nine holes in the larger Red Mountain and Overton Mountain areas, collecting 822 samples with core recoveries of over 99% in most holes.
