Molybdenum Powder Price - Dec. 18, 2018

The latest prices of molybdenum concentrate and molybdenum oxide drop slightly while molybdenum powder price maintains stability in Chinese market. On the one hand, market confidence is weakened by poor performance in downstream steel market; on the other hand, as production costs of raw materials keep firm, manufacturers’ profits decrease sharply. 

Under the weakness in both supply and demand sides, capital shortage at the end of the month, traders consider profit-taking. Molybdenum transaction prices are weak and market participants wait for the steel biddings and environmental protection inspection.
