China’s GTA Lowered Tungsten Price Forecasts for September

Analysis of latest tungsten market from ChinaTungsten Online

Ganzhou Tungsten Association (GTA) and large tungsten enterprises have lowered tungsten price forecasts for September in response to recent decline in prices on concerns of the continuous weakness in terminal demand. 

GTA forecast average prices for black tungsten concentrate 65% and ammonium paratungstate (APT) in September at $15,230.8 per tonne and $274.7 per mtu respectively, down $307.7 per tonne and $12.2 per mtu from August. Medium tungsten powder price was $39.1 per kilogram, down $1.7 per kilogram from last month.

Zhangyuan Tungsten quoted black tungsten concentrate 65% and scheelite concentrate at $15,230.8 per tonne and $15,000 per tonne, respectively, unchanged from August. APT was quoted at $274.7 per mtu, down $5.2 per mtu. 

Xiamen Tungsten’s fist guide price in September for APT was $274.7 per mtu, down $5.2 per mtu compared with last month.
