Chinese Molybdenum Prices - Aug. 23, 2018

Chinese molybdenum prices show good signs as molybdenum mines stopping production to undergo repair tightens the supply of raw materials. ChinaTungsten Online assessed ferromolybdenum price rises to RMB 131,000.00/ton from RMB 130,000.00/ton; molybdenum concentrate stands at RMB 1,820.00/ton from RMB 1,800.00/ton and molybdenum oxide at RMB1,940.00/ton from RMB1,920.00/ton.

Trading activity increases in molybdenum concentrate market. Quantity for tendering ferromolybdenum is growing and price rise also enhances manufacturers’ confidence. But the demand failing to meet market participants limits price rise.
