Chinese molybdenum prices retreated in the week to Friday August 17 after declining in prices of steel tenders and international market. ChinaTungsten Online assessed price for molybdenum powder in China free market at RMB 250.00/kg, molybdenum concentrate at RMB 1,800.00/t and ammonium heptamolvbdate at RMB 128,000.00/ton.

Mines production returns weakened manufactures’ rised mentality and raised the willingness of sales. However, a new round of environmental checks will be implemented, many steel tenders will be issued in late August, plus good performance in raw material market, insiders still have good expectation for the outlook.
