Rare earth market update on March 11, 2025
Domestic rare earth price is fluctuating within a reasonable range, influenced by factors such as tightening spot supply of raw materials, a slight increase in inquiries from downstream users, strong support from production costs, and promising development prospects for downstream rare earth industries.
As a result, many suppliers have slightly raised their quotations. Today, the prices of praseodymium-neodymium oxide, praseodymium-neodymium metal, and terbium oxide have increased by approximately 2,000 yuan/ton, 3,000 yuan/ton, and 10 yuan/kg, respectively. Driven by the recent oscillating upward trend in rare earth raw material prices, the prices of rare earth permanent magnet waste materials have also risen, with the price of neodymium-iron-boron (dysprosium-containing) waste increasing by about 22 yuan/kg.
According to information from the official website of the Jiangxi Development and Reform Commission, in February, the average sales prices of high-yttrium oxide (rare earth) and medium-yttrium europium oxide (rare earth) in Ganzhou were 200,000 yuan/ton and 182,000 yuan/ton, respectively, reflecting month-on-month increases of 6.38% and 8.33%, and year-on-year increases of 2.56% and 12.35%, respectively. The average sales price of tungsten concentrate in Ganzhou was 144,500 yuan/ton, showing a slight month-on-month increase of 0.70% and a year-on-year rise of 17.48%.
