China’s Ganzhou Tungsten Raised APT Price for the Second Half of November

Analysis of latest tungsten market from Chinatungsten Online

The ferro tungsten and tungsten powder prices in China start to show signs of rise in the week began on Monday November 23, 2020 thanks to the rise in new average tungsten forecast prices for the second half of this month. The cost side supports firm offers of smelting factories, but the demand side remains cautious. 

Tungsten concentrate offers were basically stood above $12,923.1 per ton, with few deals reported. Ammonium metatungstate (APT) market faced pressure of price inversion and tried to raised offers to $219 per mtu. For the tungsten powder market, market participants’ confidence was boosted and kept offers above $30 per kilogram, but due to persistent weakness in the demand side, suppliers received decreased enquires. 

China’s Ganzhou Tungsten released its offers for the second half of November: black tungsten concentrate (WO3≥55%) price was $12,615.4 per tone, up $184.6 per tone from the first half of this month; scheelite concentrate (WO3≥55%) price was $12,384.6 per tone, up $184.6 per tone; APT price was $217.3 per mtu, up $1.7 per mtu.
