1. High-Precision Welding:

Due to their low electron work function, high arc stability, and high-temperature resistance, barium tungsten electrodes are commonly used in inert gas shielded welding (TIG welding). In the military industry, these electrodes are widely applied in the manufacturing of high-strength alloys (such as titanium and nickel-based alloys) and precision components, including aerospace vehicle shells, missile parts, and armored vehicle welding. These components require welds with high strength, corrosion resistance, and consistency, which the stable arc and low burn-off rate of barium tungsten electrodes can effectively meet.

Barium tungsten electrodes are used in the aerospace sector for welding critical structural components, such as turbine engine blades, fuel tanks, and spacecraft frames. 4. Processing of High-Temperature Components:

The high melting point of barium tungsten electrodes (approximately 3422°C for tungsten-based materials) and their resistance to ablation provide advantages in processing under high-temperature conditions. For instance, in the manufacturing of military engine components or high-temperature reactor parts, barium tungsten electrodes can be used for plasma cutting or welding, ensuring material performance under extreme conditions.
